Why Maple Wood?

The surface of maple wood can be easily cleaned due to its fine pore structure. This makes Maple wood less susceptible to water penetration than some other hardwoods. It is often used for furniture making and culinary items, such as wooden chopping boards. Maple wood is easy to work with providing an excellent polished, stained, or painted product.

How To Best Maintain Your Reprise Canape Board

Wash your wooden charcuterie board in warm soapy water. Rinse the board and dry it with a soft cloth.

Fill a large bowl with hot water. Place a bottle of mineral oil into the bowl and let it sit for about 10 minutes or until the bottle feels warm to the touch.

Apply a generous amount of the warmed mineral oil onto a soft cloth. Wipe the mineral oil across the entire surface of your wooden serving board.

Let the mineral oil soak into the wooden serving board for approximately six hours. Remove any excess oil with a soft cloth after the board has finished soaking.
